Dimmit RX Burn

In conjunction with Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Dimmit VFD, we burned 208 acres of grass in the Panhandle last week.  Three Texas Tech students participated, including Student Association for Fire Ecology president and vice president, Jeff Hill and Paige McCain, respectively, and Anna Meyer, an MS student in the Verble Lab.

The weather was beautiful, and the fire behavior was spectacular.  Below are a few photos from the day.
